Welcome to C Libs. Our suite of high-performance C libraries is designed for developers who value clarity, control, and commercial-grade reliability. Whether you're building personal projects or deploying enterprise-grade software, we offer a licensing model that’s simple and transparent.

Free Personal Use License

C Libs is free to use for non-commercial purposes. This includes:

  • Personal experimentation and learning
  • Academic coursework and research
  • Hobbyist and open-source projects (non-commercial)

Not permitted under the free license:

  • Use in any commercial, business, or organizational context
  • Redistribution or sublicensing of the libraries
  • Exposure of the libraries to third parties (e.g., via APIs or SDKs)
  • Use in revenue-generating or monetized environments

Commercial License

To use C Libs in commercial products or services, a paid license is required. Small print is here.

Once activated, the commercial license grants you:

  • Perpetual rights to use C Libs in commercial software
  • Distribution rights as part of compiled products
  • Unlimited use across projects and developers within your organization
  • Continued use of any products developed before purchase

Commercial rights are only granted after payment is received. No commercial use or distribution is permitted beforehand.

Universal Restrictions

Regardless of license type, you may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the binaries
  • Redistribute C Libs as a standalone product or SDK
  • Sublicense or transfer your license
  • Use C Libs to build competing libraries or developer platforms
  • Expose the libraries via public APIs, SDKs, or developer-facing services

Legal & Support Terms

  • Intellectual Property: All rights remain with C Libs. No ownership is transferred.
  • Warranty: Provided “as is” with no warranties. Liability is limited to the license fee paid.
  • Support: Offered on a best-effort basis unless otherwise agreed.
  • Termination: License terminates upon breach. Commercial rights are revoked if payment is not received or terms are violated.
  • Governing Law: This license is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are resolved in the courts of York, England.

License Activation

Once your payment is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your commercial license activation details. From that point, you’re cleared for commercial deployment.
